| This is a proteolytic enzyme designed to hydrolyze all kinds of proteins including hemoglobin. Alcalase is readily soluble in water at all reasonable use concentrations. Alcalase is active in the hydrolysis of a wide variety of proteins and is useful in the gelled reagent technique. As a dry enzyme, Alcalase will lose only 1 to 2% activity per month at room temperature and less when refrigerated. |

| This is a cellulase enzyme designed to hydrolyze cellulose to lower glucose polymers. When acting on microcyrstalline wood cellulose, Celluzyme produces a mixture of glucose, cellobiose and higher glucose polymers. In addition, Celluzyme markedly reduces the viscosity of soluble cellulose derivative as carboxymethyl cellulose. Celluzyme is soluble in water at all reasonable use concentrations and while a slight turbidity may occur, it has no effect upon enzyme activity. As a dry enzyme, Celluzyme is fairly stable at room temperatures losing about 1 to 2% of its activity per month. Stored refrigerated, it will maintain its activity for about one year. |
