Ethulose - ethylhydroxyethylcellulose is a water soluble, nonionic cellulose ether. Ethulose dissolves more easily in water and the water solutions of Ethulose tolerate far greater dilution with other organic solvents, such as alcohol. Ethulose is a free-flowing granular material. To dissolve it in water, add Ethulose slowly and uniformly, while stirring moderately so as not to beat air into the solution. As soon as the solution begins to thicken, cease stirring and let the solution stand a few hours or overnight until all the Ethulose granules swell and dissolve. As guides, a 4% by weight Ethulose solution in water is a thick liquid - an 8% solution is a non-flowing gel.
Ethulose solutions in water can be diluted with an equal volume of pure ethyl alcohol (many denatured alcohols will cause precipitation of the Ethulose). |

| Granular Hide Glue is an animal hide glue which is used extensively in furniture repair and production. Also used to bond china, glass and cloth. This product is for those who prefer to prepare their own hide glue. The light color ordinarily prevents staining and produces invisible glue lines that finish well. Setting speed is moderate with plenty of working time. Very strong, but reversible. |

| Aquazol's excellent water solubility and thermal stability makes it a preferred substitute for PVOH and PVP in high temperature applications. It is used in a variety of hot melt and pressure sensitive adhesive products. It is gaining acceptance in the ceramics industry as a greenware binder because of the clean burn out and non-ionic nature of this polymer. |
