MSC Polyester Sealers

Used by archivists, bookbinders, conservators and photographers, the MS 2600 and MS 4000 Polyester Sealers protect valuable documents, maps, plans, photographs, and other sensitive objects by encapsulation inside inert polyester sheets. In addition, they seal combinations of materials together. For example, reemay spun bound polyester can be attached to polyester sheets. The sealer produces a strong, neat edge weld that doesn't separate or split over time.

Application
The MS 2600 and MS 4000 Polyester Sealers provide a strong, heat-welded seal in less than ten seconds. You can make customized shelves, envelopes or multi layered seals for flaps, tabs, or binding materials to meet your specific needs.

Features
The MSC Polyester Sealer is foot controlled, freeing both hands to place and move the objects quickly. The MSC Polyester Sealer has a large open throat that is 667 mm (26 inches) wide for the 2600 model, and 1016 mm (40 inches) wide for the 4000 model. The open throat allows continuous seam welding for encapsulation of oversized items. It seals up to 175 microns of polyester material. Heat is applied only to the immediate edge being welded, so heat from the welding process does not affect objects ¼ inch (.63 cm) from the edge. Replace the heating element with only a screwdriver. A grid on the top surface of the base guides the user when aligning the polyester films. An adjustable timer allows flexibility for sealing thicker or thinner sheets. Compact size allows for convenient storage. Designed for low maintenance operations, all electrical and mechanical parts are easily accessible. A spare heating element is included with each machine. Replacement heating elements are sold separately.
