Vacuum pressure for the MSC Suction Devices comes from two sources; Vacuum Pumps and Suction Motors. Vacuum pumps, like the Gast 1023 and 1423, create a large amount of vacuum (negative pressure) but relatively low airflow. Suction motors, like the MSC Control Console or the motor in the Tiger-Vac Vacuum Cleaner, create large volumes of airflow but moderate to low vacuum levels. The MSC Control Console dual motors produce high airflow, up to 339.8 m3/h (200 cfm) and vacuum levels to 53.5 mm Hg (7.26 inches of Hg). A motor controller adjusts the vacuum level. In contrast, MSC 1023 and 1423 vacuum pumps have low airflow up to 8.5 m3/h (5, 10 and 14 cfm) and 17 m3/h respectively, but very high negative pressure, up to 181.4 mm Hg (28 inches of Hg). | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

The MSC Control Console contains suction motors and the controls for operation in one easy to use location. The Console package includes the suction motors, a variable speed controller, a vacuum gage in mm H20 and inches H20, an airbrush and air compressor, a cooling and air circulation fan, a liquid catch basin, an activated charcoal filter for fume capture, a noise muffler, casters, an exhaust hose and an easy access cabinet. Constructed of high-density natural polyethylene (HDPE), it is designed to reduce noise to less than 74 decibels at all operation levels. Suction motors in the MSC Control generate vacuum levels up to 2500 mm H20 (100 inches H2O) and are durable, long lasting and maintenance free. The motors are rated at 700 hours of continuous use. Circuit breakers protect the motors. The dual motor Console produces an unconstrained airflow of approximately 178 meters cubed per hour - m3/h (200 cubic feet per minute - CFM). The exhaust hose connects to your fume hood or outside vent. Electrical • MSC Control Console ordering information is available on the Suction Tables Accessories page. |

A powerful vacuum cleaner at almost the same performance levels as the MSC Control Console. It can sustain vacuum levels up to 2500 mm H20 (100 inches H2O), This motor produces an unconstrained airflow of approximately 178 meters cubed per hour - m3/h (100 cubic feet per minute -CFM). The exhaust hose connects to your fume hood or outside vent to permit vapor and solvent removal from the work area. It comes with a HEPA filter and with the variable speed control, a floor cleaning tool kit and micro vacuum tools, and is great for mold removal. It can also be used for wet/dry vacuum use. Features a durable polypropylene tank. Electrical • Tiger-Vac Vacuum Cleaner ordering information is available on the Suction Tables Accessories page. |

Very high vacuum is available with a reliable Gast 1023 or Gast 1423 vacuum pump installed in a noise reducing, maintenance-free polyethylene HDPE cabinet. Suction power of up to 95kPa and 23m3/h (23 inches Hg and up to 14 CFM airflow). A foot pedal switch with this vacuum pump allows the conservator the free use of hands while working with their project. The fluid traps are easily accessible for draining. The vacuum gage allows measurement of the the vacuum level for documentation. Each vacuum pump cabinet includes casters, an exhaust hose, a foot controlled electrical switch, noise-reducing material inside the cabinet, dual fluid collection containers, water trap, and quick-connect hose fittings. A bleeder valve adjusts the amount of vacuum applied to the object. Electrical • Gast Vacuum Pump ordering information is available on the Small Suction Devices page. |
